My friend Max Helton died of cancer two years ago. He was an international Christian leader (founder of Motor Racing Outreach in NASCAR and member of Lake Forest Church). One of several books I received from his library was a 1950's commentary on Micah that I read this weekend.
Charles L Feinberg wrote the Moody's version of the life, times, and major emphases of this man of God for today's inquirer - in 1951. His summation of our current series theme verse, Micah 6:8, is thus: "The piety that God approves consists of three elements: a strict adherence to that which is equitable in all dealings with our fellowmen; a heart determined to do them good; and diligent care to live in close and intimate fellowship with God."
