Merry Christmas. Our Christmas Eve services were a joy to me.This pic is from the balcony.
Thank you for introducing me to friends and family. In the same manner in which we ended the service, I look forward to holding our candles high together during 2011, increasing our witness to Jesus' love by loving 'one more person, one more neighborhood, starting one more church.' Because the good news of Jesus Christ is too good to keep to ourselves, or hide under a rock.
Here's our song for 2011 - enjoy the download (that we gave at the end of Christmas Eve) of Reeve Coobs singing Kyle's song, "Let 'em See Love." The final verse is my favorite.
Let em See Love
There is a darkness that drowns out the light
When we hold the candle out of sight
And there is a storm that kill all that's right
When we run for cover in the night
When light shines in darkness the darkness will fade
We all have a candle to raise
Let em see Love (x4)
Imagine the difference if darkness were gone
Cause we held the candle for those who belong
And what if surrender were our greatest song
And darkness would run as the light became strong
Life is a story and we play a role
Of God's great design for the soul
Let em see Love (x4)
Love is the light that shines in the night
The darkness cannot comprehend
The power of Jesus the light that frees us
Our God our savior our friend
Our God our savior our friend
Let em see Love (x8)
