Charlie King was on staff with Lake Forest last summer, under Matt Glass' leadership at LFC-Davidson. I stumbled upon them recording a CD of original music by Charlie one week in our auditorium. I sat and listened for a while, learning about the recording process and eating some of their cold pizza. Charlie is finished, and is offering downloads of his music (free, but it would hook him up to buy it on itunes also).
The CD title is "I Am Here." Its songs wade through the waters of love and trust, recognizing the ebbs and flows of each, and the relationship between the two. The style is alternative/folk.
THIS IS GREAT STUFF - not your garden-variety Christian lyrics; beautiful instrumentation and vocals. And you'll recognize some other LFC names in the credits (including Cha, Hogeboom and Dillard). Listen to it now:
