Friends, this is a metaphorical truth embedded in creation and palindrome: God N doG or Dog N goD
I have often meditated on my relationship with my dog Copper, as close to what God must have envisioned when God said 'rule over/lead the creation' in Genesis. Our relationship of leader-and-led is tight, joyful, unified, relational, companionable, slobber-ful - I could go on. But perhaps I have been arrogant to apply the metaphor and scripture in this way.
One of my friends showed me this take on the man-dog relationship that turns the tables of simile - perhaps Copper is more like God and I am more like, well, still like me :) In my human frailty, I can't match the love of God or the love of my dog. Check it out.
